Cabrera Ski Club

Hi All,

We are organizing Skiing at Sierra Nevada.  We have chosen the following dates as they are Low or Medium Season, which makes it more enjoyable as it´s not too crowded and more affordable.

We plan to leave Cabrera at 7:00am prompt, meeting at the Cabrera Arch for residents in Cabrera and 7:15am at the stone entrance from the main road to Cortijo Grande for people outside of Cabrera.

We then drive (stopping for coffee on the way) to the ski slopes of Sierra Nevada and Ski for the day.   At the end of the first day of skiing we then go to the Hotel, stay for one night and ski the next day until approx. 5:00pm and return back to Cabrera.  This gives us 2 days of skiing.  The Journey from Cabrera to the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada is approx. 2.5 hours plus coffee stop.

The Hotel is excellent and is the same hotel we used last time. It is just 6.5km from the Ski Resort (approx. 10 mins) The Hotel details are:-

The price above is for a double room with twin or double beds – so you can share the price 27.50 € each per person.  I f you want you can have a triple or quadruple rooms.  The price includes bed & breakfast.   When we arrive at Sierra Nevada Richard will introduce us to the Ski Hiring Shop, instructor as he has obtained discounts for these as well.  If you want lessons we have to book these in advance.

Ski Pass – Bring your passport or residencia as Ski passes are discounted dependant on your age.

Share of Fuel cost

We require a deposit of 25 euros per person which is non refundable as the hotel rooms will be booked/reserved on Richard´s credit card.

We will be arranging to share cars with people that are prepared to drive.

Normally price of fuel and parking fees are shared between the people you travel with.

Insurance is not included.  

Any Non Skiers are more than welcome.

Deadline for deposits is 2 weeks prior to departure.

Review from someone who recently dined there:-

Have just had a beautiful three course meal there this lunchtime. 
Peeled prawns, in chilli sauce with mango. Absolutely yummy
then  Shredded lamb on mashed potato with carmelised onions and carrots with a cranberry salsa.
Almond and coconut tart.
total bill including drinks and coffee under 30€ each.
The best meal I've had in a long time.  Lovely Spanish surroundings even the locals are harvesting almonds and bringing them down to the bar area.

Pay a visit for drinks, snack or a meal. The sea bass looked good also. I'm sure you will agree with me 1st class.
