The Cabrera Fiesta was held on Saturday 5th June
The Cabrera Fiesta was a success again this year. The Music from the Piped Musicians, DJ Steve Fear from Choice FM, The Opera Singer, the Flamenco Dancers, Kyle from Turre and Arriba Arriba were all great. And not forgetting the Belly Dancer who went down a real treat
The stilt walkers were back again this year, so was Splat the Rat! And crazy golf which was manned by Graham & Trisha Meeks.
There were stalls from Donna Fashions, The Paws Stall were I got 2 fantastic pairs of shoes and a belt - really great value for money.
The Bric a Brac was there again. Horse riding from Rancho de Cabrera. The Spanish brought their horses up as well. Damian ran the Fiesta Bar, and it went down a treat. Lots of tapas, burgers and more. Beer and Wines. Postres and Cocktails at Los Pastores as well. Back on the diet now, but nice to go mad just for one day.

The Seventh Cabrera Fiesta 4th June 2011
The Next Cabrera Fiesta will be held on Saturday 4th June 2011
At the open meeting of The Cabrera Fiesta Committee which was held on Wednesday 15th September 2010, it was proposed by Ron Ramsay that the name of the committee should be changed to The Cabrera Social & Fiesta Committee. It was felt that the new name reflected the fact that the fiesta is only part of a mix of social events that are held throughtout a year and the new title was duly adopted.
The committee for the forthcoming year will be:
Chairman: Barry Woods
Treasurer: Chrissie Uzzell
Secretary: Diana Saunders
Committee Members for 2011 are: Tony Sprake, Margaret Sprake, Robert Uzzell, Mia Davies-Woods, Brian Saunders, Shirley Hutchinson, Tony Scane, Bob Hall and Julie Peeol
Social Events planned for 2011 are:-
January: 26th January 2011 Time: 7:00pm Place: Los Pastores - Geoff Meeks will give an illustrated talk on the Moorish occupation of Spain in general and Cabrera in particular.
February - Date still to be confirmed but provisionally booked for 25th February Race Night
March - Friday 25th March The Cabrera Dinner Dance - (venue to be confirmed)
Sunday 27th March - A walk to the old Mosque with Geoff Meeks
April - Date still to be confirmed, but provisionally booked for Saturday 9th April Car Treasure Hunt
Sunday 3rd April Date to be confirmed for the Fashion Show
May - Possible BBQ at the Kimrick, Mojacar
June - 4th June The Cabrera Fiesta
September - Possible Late Summer Dance at Los Pastores
The Treasurer has reported in the a meeting that took place on 10th November 2010, that the committee had 4,034.44 € in the bank and assets to the value of 1,219 € in the form of T-Shirts, tables, chairs, lights and a smoke machine!
If you wish to take part or would like to join the Fiesta Committee for 2011, please do not hesitate to contact the Chairman Mr. Barry Woods on email or the Secretary Diana Saunders on email: cabrerafiesta@hotmail.com
